​The Jackson County School System has shown notable improvement in the latest College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) results released by the Georgia Department of Education.

The new data highlights the district’s ongoing commitment to academic growth and continuous improvement. Every elementary and middle school in the system has shown gains in content mastery since 2022, reflecting the hard work and dedication of teachers, leaders, and students across the county. Content mastery includes student scores on statewide assessments in English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. 

Five of the district’s eight schools improved by more than 10 points from 2022 to 2025 — a strong indicator of sustained progress.

• Maysville Elementary School recorded the largest increase, rising 17.9 points since 2022.
   

• Gum Springs Elementary School followed closely with a 16.3-point improvement.
   

• East Jackson Elementary School gained 11.7 points, and East Jackson Middle School improved by 10.4 points over the same period.
   

• East Jackson High School’s eighth grade posted a significant 15.2-point increase since 2023.
   

• Legacy Knoll Middle School, which opened in August 2023, also demonstrated strong performance, improving 10 points from 2024 to 2025.
   

CCRPI serves as Georgia’s statewide accountability system, providing a comprehensive look at how schools and districts are performing and improving over time. The continued progress across Jackson County reflects the district’s focus on high expectations, effective instruction, and a shared commitment to student success.
